South Africa picked up a resounding win by 66 runs in the first ODI against West Indies at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound. Opener Hashim Amla (102 from 109 balls) and AB de Villiers (102 from 101 balls) struck centuries to power SA to 280 for 7 in the allotted 48 overs. For Windies, Dwayne Bravo bowled well for his 3 for 4. West Indies were once again disappointing in their chase coming a distant second after being bowled out for 215 in 44.1 overs. Morne Morkel did the damage taking 3 for 40 with the ball for the visitors.
